Black Castle, Co. Wicklow

Black Castle, County Wicklow, in June 1986.
Situated on a dramatic rocky promontory, separated from the mainland by a deep fosse. Possibly on the site of an earlier fort. Two loops and a garderobe chute remain despite its very ruined condition.
