Killoskehane or Killskelan Castle, County Tipperary, in August 1987.
It is such a poor photo, I was not going to post it. However, it does set the remains of the castle in the context of its surroundings.
There was no one at home on the day of my visit and perhaps I had run out of film (yet again…). The tower house (to the left) was incorporated into the early eighteenth century house and probably remodelled and reroofed in Victorian times.
It was in good condition in 1987.
