Garry Castle or Garrycastle, County Offaly, in August 1987.
Two photographs of the gatehouse, the first taken from inside the bawn and the second from outside the bawn.
Interesting complex of buildings inside a substantial bawn, including a charming early eighteenth century farmhouse.
A happy tale is to be told about the lovely farmhouse, it has been restored to its former glory.
The gatehouse, large bawn and remainder are in poor condition. One wall of tower remains with base of corner bartizan. NW and SW corners of the bawn have turrets with shot holes. NE corner plain square and SE corner – hairpin. Other undetermined ruined old buildings within the bawn.
