Strictly speaking it is probably not entitled to be included here, as it may have begun life as a church. On the other hand, it qualifies as there is evidence of it having been fortified and of parts of it being used for domestic purposes.
The vault was added around 1600 and it has mural stairs and the remains of a fine chimney.
A stump of an Irish round tower makes up part of the monastic site.
