Black Castle or Leamcon Castle, Scull, County Cork, in August 1986. Privately owned at the time. Situated on a magnificent headland, accessible via a foot bridge. Main entrance at first floor level over ground floor entrance. Garderobe Shute on west side is still used but now with a pipe in it. Renovated as a family holiday home. No crenellations. Only two stories over the ground floor remain. Vault over first floor. Only 2nd floor in use. Castle was in poor condition prior to renovation. Correlated perspex lean to roof with two storey cabin within the tower. Oil lamps used, only access was by sea, by tractor or on foot.
