Athclare Castle, County Louth, in October 1986.
I do not appear to have many notes for this interesting tower house, apart from a gothic fireplace, very good remains of wickerwork centering and that parts of it were inhabited.
I hope these photos were correctly filed as the opes look rather different to those in current photos.
Maybe someone can enlighten me?
