Ardfinnan Castle, County Tipperary, in June 1986.
A castle with a well documented history. Built in 1185 to guard the crossing over the River Suir.
Unfortunately this photograph barely shows the earliest part of the castle, a round corner keep in the distance to the rear of the tower house.
